Welcome! If you’re a mama navigating the beautiful, chaotic, and often overwhelming journey of raising tiny humans, you’ve found your virtual village.
I’m a mom of four incredible kids — my oldest is 13, then 7, 6, and 3. Yes, I’m going to need a lot of coffee when they become teenagers!
Motherhood is incredibly rewarding, but let’s not lie, it is HARD. What happened to this thing they call a “village”?
The Reality of Our Missing Village
“Village”. Sometimes it seems like a fairytale. We all want it but its nonexistent, or for a lot of us it is.
Some say you have to build your own village. But how do you do that when your not close with your family or they live across the country?
Maybe you don’t have much friend support because life is busy for everyone or you have nothing left to pour into outside relationships because your too busy trying to keep your head barely above water.
Our Shared Reality
I try my best everyday to make sure my family’s needs are met and that they are being raised up to be good people, and mostly, to know they are very loved.
I often feel like that drowning mom barely keeping my head out of water.
Still, we push through because of the love we have for them. To do this without much, or if any, outside support is a reality for a lot of moms.
Welcome to Your Virtual Village
So, welcome! Welcome to your new Virtual Village. Let’s build this together and not feel so alone in this stage of life. Come grab a seat at the table, pour a drink and let’s start by sharing where we are at.
- How many children do you have?
- Do you work, or are you a stay-at-home mom?
- Are your kids full-grown, teens, toddlers, or are you expecting?
- Do you feel like you’ve got this, or are you really struggling right now and need a space to vent, cry, or scream?
- Let it out momma, because we are going to get through this together.
P.S. What’s in your cup today? Coffee or tea?
